Dr Carey Bailey

Dr. Bailey came to Gainesville in 1995 to attend UF, and went on to finish veterinary school at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.She started Tobias Veterinary Services, named after her beloved boxer Toby, out of the back of her Chevrolet Suburban in 2013.She was determined to be able to be a present and active mom for her kids as well as a good veterinarian for her clients.

She is married to Jeremy, a retired Alachua County Sheriff's deputy and has two children, Jack and Julianna, as well as two step-daughters, Delaney and Reese.The four kids and the business keep both Dr. Bailey and Jeremy busy.She is also an avid runner who squeezes in time for the gym and a good book once in a while.She has two black cats and a boxer named Jorja that complete her family.

Dr. Laura A. Axiak

Dr. Axiak is a 2011 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical studies at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation she completed an equine lameness and surgery internship at the University of Florida and in 2012 she completed a second internship focused on diagnostic imaging. She also serves as a Veterinary Field Officer for the U.S. Army Reserves. Her professional interests include preventative care, dentistry and diagnostic imaging. When she is not caring for animals she enjoys running with her dog "Marvin", swimming and taking her daughter to Disney World.

Shari King

Shari King is a certified veterinary technician. She began her career in veterinary medicine in Connecticut in 1997. She has a special interest in cats and spent a decade in feline only animal hospitals. Shari is also a freelance writer and has been published in Cat Fancy magazine several times and writes a monthly advice column called The Practical Pet in the Observer. She lives in Fort White with her husband, Bob and four rescued cats, Gabriel, Marnie, Xena and Wil E. Cat.

 Rachel Hanna

staffRachel started her vet career in 1993 & graduated from St Petersburg college Vet Tech program in 2000, with her certified vet tech degree. She enjoys helping people with animal nutrition, behavior and preventative medicine. She has lived in Florida all her life and enjoys the outdoors, camping, sailing and Paddle boarding with her husband and friends. Rachel also volunteers as a lifeguard & works on the recreation staff with a Florida Diabetes camp, a camp for children & youth with Type 1 diabetes. She has 2 yellow labs and 2 horses.

Kristen Rosato 

Kristen is the pretty voice answering our phone. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2006. She is an experienced veterinary technician and is passionate about animal welfare and serving others. She has two wonderful rescue dogs, Penny and Thor and a brand new baby. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, being outdoors, and spending time with her family. She is an advocate for low-stress and fear-free handling of pets and believes that in-home veterinary care is an invaluable resource for pet owners and pets alike!
